Berlin Weekly, Berlin
15 photographs from my Nokia series, taken between 2008-2012 in bars and clubs that have now disappeared in the immediate vicinity of Berlin Weekly in Berlin-Mitte, occupy the entire window depth of the project space. Large format prints of the color-intensive photographs with strong image noise are cut into strips and hang from the ceiling in cross-rows. Parts of the images are cut off, creating a walk-in space. Dissolution, ecstasies of the night, ephemerality and the ongoing gentrification of Berlin are some of the aspects that merge into an inseparable, sensually perceptible unit.
During Gallery Weekend 2025, the installation was accessible and led to the group exhibition in the back room, which I had curated around the theme of Night.
